How Does a Cyclone Preheater Operate?
Our cyclone preheating system includes several key components: a feeding system, preheater, pushing device, hydraulic system, precalciner, and frame. Cyclone preheaters are generally categorized into stages, ranging from 2 to 6. Higher stages improve efficiency, though they increase the pressure drop that the kiln fan must manage.
The Process:
Initial Stage:
Raw meal powder enters the riser duct through a side feeding port.
It disperses and suspends in the hot air from the duct’s bottom, achieving immediate and rapid heat exchange.
Cyclone Motion:
Airflow carries the material into the cyclone in a tangential, rotational movement.
Cooled gas moves to the next stage, while raw meal progresses through the lower valve to another stage.
This setup ensures that 80% of the heat exchange occurs in the riser duct, with just 20% in the cyclone.
Final Stage:
After multiple heat exchanges, the raw meal undergoes partial decomposition of calcium carbonate.
It is then ready for calcination in the precalciner and cement kiln.
